We know that there’s a lot of information here, but we want you to be fully informed about your rights, and how SkinGen distributed by Esthetica Academy uses your data. SkinGen respect your privacy and we are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with our obligation under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and other applicable laws. This privacy policy applies to the SkinGen products, services and website(s) that we provide to you and if you work for us or apply for an employment position with us.

  • When you visit our website and use your account to buy products.
  • When you purchase a product by phone but don’t have (or don’t use) an account.

  • When you enter prize draws or competitions.
  • When you choose to complete any surveys, we send you. 
  • When you contact us by any means with queries, complaints etc.
  • When you comment on or review our products and services. 
  • When you request marketing to be sent to you. 

The personal information that we collect:

  • Your ID and contact information, such as your name, postal or email address, telephone numbers and date of birth
  • Your social media handles;
  • Transection information, such as credit card number and bank account details;
  • Technical data includes internet (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website. 
  • Profile data includes your username and password (encrypted), purchases or order made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses. 
  • Usage data includes information about how you use our website, products and services. 
  • Marketing and communication data include your preferences in receiving marketing from us and your communication preferences. 

Sometimes we also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data from any purpose. This data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may collect your usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. 


How is your personal data used?

You can stop the use of your personal data for direct marketing:


SkinGen does not send advertising information without obtaining prior consent. If an individual receives communication from SkinGen which they do not which to receive, they can click the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email communication that we send. We will stop any further emails. 


Storage and security of personal information:


The personal data collected is only kept for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The personal information is stored on secure server on digital platform. At the end of the retention period which is seven years, your data will either be deleted completely or anonymised by removing information that may identify an individual for example, full name, email and address so that it can be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical analysis and business planning.
