Why you should be including serums to your facial treatments?

Facial serums can make a huge difference in the way our facial skin looks and feels. There is a myriad of serums out in the market today, so it can be tricky to find one that best suits your client's needs.

Here at Skingen, our transdermal skincare range contains six facial serums as well as nine technology-infused serums with the highest concentration of ingredients allowed for a cosmeceutical brand before it becomes a medication. Our facial serums contain the highest concentration of Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Retinol (Vitamin A) and Niacin (Vitamin B3) on the market. This means that when compared to other serums in the market, results are not only superior but also achieved quicker- and we don’t need to tell you how big clients are on instant gratification.

You may be wondering why exactly we need the facial serums. Facial serums are water-based, lightweight and penetrate deep into the dermis to deliver the active ingredients.  Serums can hydrate the skin, but can also offer additional or different benefits. Some examples are improving the skin’s texture and elasticity, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and reducing excessive sebum production.

Facial serums can keep the skin looking youthful by boosting hydration and can also help to clear congested skin types thanks to the active ingredients. If you’re looking to hydrate, brighten and restore your client’s skin, our C Serum contains Vitamin C and Phyto whitening complex which drastically stimulates collagen synthesis. This will leave their skin, not only brighter, but smoother and softer after short-term use. Hyaluronic Acid is another highly sought-after ingredient in skincare products. Our Hyaluronic Serum not only deeply hydrates the skin but also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This is achieved through the promotion of cell-regeneration and repair of the skin with intense moisturising action.

So that your client gets the most out of the applied serum, you should always cleanse their face first with a suitable product like our Gel Face Cleanser or Herbal Milk, then exfoliate to remove the dead skin cells and ensure deep dermal penetration, avoiding it merely sitting on the epidermis. Place a few drops onto your client’s face and gently pat it into their skin. A little goes a long way which is why serums typically come in a small bottle. You can layer different serums once the skin has fully absorbed the last layer, to target different conditions. You can follow up with a face mask and use a tonic to close the pores and lock the serum into the skin. Finish off with a moisturiser.

Including serums in your facial treatments is essential to greatly improve the results clients see. You can also upsell the retail products so they can retain and improve their results.
